A dynamic management and committed society, alone can work for the uplift of the socially
neglected. This is true of Kerala Blind School Society. Since its existence in 1962 to till date , it
proved its mettle in the field of giving education to the visually challenged.

School for the Blind Keezhmad, Aluva is a pioneer in the field of special schools in Kerala. It
has completed 50 years of exemplary and merritorious service in the year 2011. The gold enjubilee
celebrations is to come to an end shortly.

To commemorate Golden Jubilee this year, we have completed ambitious projects such as Blind
friendly Girls Hostel, Computer academy, news chool bus, open air theatre. B.Ed college-(special
education)is in the anvil. I hope these projects will certainly strenghthen our visually challenged students
to come to the m ain stream of society and shoulder more responsibilities. A change in the outlook of
the people is also necessary.

Koshy the finance committee chairman for his great contribution.
